Maternity programs at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery have again been recognized by Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association as Blue Distinction.® Programs for excellence in delivering quality care. The Blue Distinction® program is a national designation program recognizing healthcare facilities that demonstrate expertise in delivering quality specialty care – safely, effectively, and cost efficiently.

“Earning re-designation in maternity care is a terrific acknowledgement of the commitment on the part of our doctors, nurses, technicians and staff, to provide the best care possible to our patients,” says David Jaspan, DO, Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Einstein Healthcare Network.  Einstein is one of the few remaining hospitals in the Philadelphia region that has maintained its commitment to maternity care.  Approximately 5,000 babies are delivered each year through Einstein Healthcare Network – about 3,000 babies at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and more than 2,000 babies at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.

Einstein Healthcare Network Earns AAHRPP Re-Accreditation

Jan. 10, 2018

Einstein Healthcare Network has earned full re-accreditation for five years from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, Inc., (AAHRPP).

AAHRPP accreditation reflects Einstein’s commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of research participants. To earn re-accreditation, Einstein demonstrated that the organization has built extensive safeguards into every level of their research operation and adheres to high standards for research.  Einstein earned full re-accreditation without any findings or recommendations for improvement based on a rigorous site visit – an accomplishment that very few institutions achieve.
